a place for planners

Hi all. I've got a pitiful training budget and want to make sure I don't waste it on dodgy digital marketing conferences. Which events are must-sees and which are steaming piles of poo?

I'm mostly after ones in the UK - don't think my budget will stretch to pan-atlantic flights...

Ones I'm thinking of currently are www.onlinemarketingshow.co.uk and http://www.brandrepublic.com/Campaign/Events/Conferences/2986/

Each year in September, there is one event in Amsterdam which is definately worth going to. Its called Picnic Cross Media Week. I attended the confernce in 2007 and also in 2008 and both times I was really impressed by the speakers and the inspiration I had in this week.

The next really cheap thing was called Interesting08 in London. It was more a come together of creative minds than a conference but it was also really inspiring and it was definately a great experience to participate in such an event.

Hi Laurence,

you have to go to the Picnic in Amsterdam. I´ve been there 3 years in a row and this converence
is really the best in whole Europe (a bit pricey though)

here is the Link:

They have many of the TED Speakers and every Talk is really worth its money.
I met there so many inspiring people and some of them became partners in different
projects.

So...hope to see you there!

Steffen
