Taylor Search Partners is an executive search firm with over 40 years experience in marketing and communications. Our client is a leading Chicago base advertising agency looking for an Account Planner.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide consumer understanding/insights both internally and to clients
Key contributor to communication strategy/positioning and messaging development
Creative brief development
Drive/consult on research related needs both internally and with clients
Keep abreast of key cultural and category/business related trends
Innovation:
Support Client in the identification, prioritization and refinement of product and packaging innovation
Duties to include positioning/repositioning, packaging innovation, target expansion initiatives, market testing and pilot project leadership
Will work with a wide range of stakeholders both from the client (marketing, R&D, research, etc) as well as internally.
Run idea generating sessions
Travel involved: Average once a week
Requirements:
General Account Planning:
5 to 7 years Account Planning experience
Hands on experience in planning at every stage of brand and communication strategy
Well versed in both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, including syndicated research
Experience in brand positioning, creative strategy development
Must have packaged goods experience
Experience with marketing health related products, infant care and/or marketing to mothers a plus
Good oral and written communications skills
Innovation/New Product Work:
High level of creativity and thought leadership combined with structured strategic thinking for identifying and analyzing complex business issues
Must be experienced in new product/innovation work from conceptual level through test market/product launch
Ability to influence diverse teams and build strong business relationships both internally and externally
Must be comfortable working with senior management level clients
Strong leadership skills
Ability to transform ideas into action in demanding environments
Self-starter, comfortable working without structure or creating structure
Ability to develop, articulate, present and promote a vision
Ability to manage conflict, negotiate and create compelling business arguments
