From The Head Of Zeus Jones

The aesthetic divide.

I got an email from Niko on my post about operations as marketing that pointed me towards this great interview with designers Kenya Hara and Naoto Fukasawa. In particular it was this quote from Fukasawa that Niko pointed me towards: “For example, if a client asked me “Please design a chair” while sitting in a good [...]

Using services to extend the value of things.

Image via: http://www.flickr.com/photos/jyoseph/ This brilliant post from Gizmodo made me remember some thinking I’d done about using services to extend or enhance the value of things. I think the events of the past few months are starting to turn this approach from a “nice to have” into a viable survival strategy for lots of different types [...]

The hidden truth of marketing as a service.

Image via: http://www.flickr.com/photos/loupiote/ A year and a half into Zeus Jones, one of the biggest differences from what we originally thought our lives were going to be like is in the kinds of ideas that we are creating and building. Our vision had us doing lots of programs, services, applications and content that were fairly separate [...]

Need help with a pitch for a super premium jewellery brand (diamonds) aimed at the upwardly living 'youth'; not the bulgari/cartier types, but just under from a lay person's positioning perspective. Strategies done in other markets would be great; any help appreciated. Thanks in advance

have a great conference and vacation. You've got them in the right order:) btw, I think you're onto something in the after-death services concept. so much is changing in that arena, so fast--and as boomers die, it's only going to accelerate. We just lost a dear family friend and he was cremated at a very forward-looking cemetery in Marin (the one they fashioned Six Feet under after). It's owned by two brothers who are film-makers out of LA. they were so convinced that memorialization and videos would be a big business before and after death that they bought up cemeteries to create their market. They're changing how the entire funberal home experience looks and feels, as well as memorialization. All feels part of a single whole that's shifting somehow. Di

Hi Adrian-
Thx for being a ning friend. I was one of your fledgling students at boot camp in Minneapolis last summer. Congrats on the new venture.

Best,

i very much like the Zeus Jones homepage, with links to all the different and diverse identities and expressions around the company. Very modern indeed. Also quite labour- and time-intensive i assume...
