Matthew. Your bicycling exploits and shambolic organizational skills bring back memories of the delightful days when you and I were account guys on Amex in London. I seem to recollect you displaying your cycling skills to one of your client, and he was amazed.
Douglas -- it won't surprise you but I'm not very diligent at checking messages. Had a fantastic ride into work on my Rivendell Rambouillet this morning

I love the word geezer. Glad someone else is using it. Actually, I've contratced it to "geeze" which is even more fun. Are you still with Merkley and Partners?
anything going on in meetup the week of 10th-16th in NYC? I'm from Portland but am going to be in town that week, try and sell myself INTO the industry, escape from 'what is planning why is it important' community to 'we love planning and we're diversifying it every which way' new york.
it'd be great to get a smart opinion on communities to tap into while i'm there. can you help a girl out?
Hi John. He is kind of loveable in his crazy intense way. He's also a thoroughly decent person, I think.
Meetup is very good. As I said in the posting about online/offline communities, I stumbled into it. I had no intention of joining anything having finally left the agency, but it's all about the stuff I've been thinking about for the past few years...community and belonging. However, everyone is half my age, wear little woolly caps and zip about our big loft in Noho on Razor scooters. Makes me feel even more of an old geezer.
How's the freelancing thing? Are you writing anything at the moment?
Hi Doug, great to see you here. Alex W - loveable???? (yes of course he is but dont tell him I said so). How are things at Meetup, if I got that right?
