planners who play together, stay together

our ability to accomplish the work of the world. Like art, play is that quintessential experience that is almost impossible to define--because it encompasses infinite variability--but which we all recognize when we see, or experience." Pscyhology Today

I noticed a comment you made about networking sites on another page - if they were stocks, which one do you think is on the rise?

I read an article in the Economist a few months ago that claimed (who are these "researchers" you speak of?) multi-tasking, especially emailing, reduces working IQ levels.

I read someplace (and by 'read someplace' I mean 'wrote someplace, someplace being right here on your page right now') that being able to navigate the dozens of inevitable distractions of real working life and still crank out a plannerific powerpoint presentation means you've achieved Hyper Genius Ninja Grand Puba status.

Hi Erin. You referred to russells planning school on the web, but as far as I know he passed it on a few months ago... Do you know what happened then? Who took over and where?
And by the way - you went to ad-school in Miami? I spend half a year on a DDB agency there in 2002. It was great fun. drmDDM was the agency - I loved it! Though living in the middle of SoBe was kind of distracting:)

Hi. Are you moving to NY because of a new job or? I just spend 5 days there, but I liked it. Especially after half a year in SoBe - I was going crazy down there. Don't know why, but the "everyday is a party, we totally lack a goal in our lives and I'll fuck you if you have money-attitude" really pissed me of... Hope you'll enjoy the planning scene of the big apple....

Hi Erin, I'll check with Christopher to see if he has your book, but I'd love to chat!

Hi Erin,
Thanks for your response, I think you’ve written a great blog and I liked Mark Lewis’s article that you cited. I agree that your point regarding social networks is valid to an extent and that currently there has been such an explosion of activity in this area it's difficult to differentiate between what's on offer. What I was trying to say was that in the current situation, SNs are one of the best mediums for targeting generation Y who are on the whole very difficult to engage with using online advertising. I think we're both in agreement (in a round about way) that there must be a better solution for this dilemma. From what you've written I think you're looking for something new that embraces the concepts of liquid communication, where as I think, in the mean time, there must be a way to harness what we currently have available that protects a brands integrity whilst still targeting this highly targeted, tech savvy and ultimately fickle online sector.
