I thought that I would reach out to you to see if you might know anyone for a position that I'm currently working on...
It's a Global Planning position at a very creative, world renowned Ad Agency situated in their London office...It is working on a packaged goods account with a beauty oriented campaign/strategy so they are looking for someone with an interest and experience in similar categories...I need at least 6 years experience and the salary is up to 100 pounds (150k)...They are willing to relocate the right candidate to London or if the person already resides there, even better. I'm wondering if you can think of any friends/colleagues that I should reach out to...I would appreciate any leads and feel free to pass along my contact information as well.

hello... its a good idea to talk to lots of planners in london so u can find out what agencies are looking - use russell davies blog and richard h's adliterate as a start. there are coffee mornings in london, so u cud try and join them. also recruitment consultant (the talent business/ garden partnership + red triangle) always good to apply to a range of agencies - big, small, digital etc. if you can afford to, u cud offer to intern for a few months and prove urself... have ideas ready or a book that showcases ur strategic planning and opinions on brands, ads, communication etc. most of all - just be urself and don't give up. london is intensely competitive so keep trying and u WILL eventually find whr u belong..I used tomeet ppl in research (hall and partners for eg), digital media, packaging strat to understand their needs and network lots. good luck!
